Thanks for this write up and the part numbers. We are doing a father and son project for my sons first vehicle. I really wanted to swap to discs in the back for him..

Everything we do is on a budget, so this really helps.

Am I blind, or is there no bracket to secure the end of the brake tube where it joins the rubber hose?

That, lack of park brake, and the lack of a suitable caliper bracket that doesn't induce twist in the caliper when the brakes are applied scares me. This should be illegal. Depending on the state regulations, it might be.

It doesn't twist, it's backed up to the axle flange. Don't need a park break, I lay my truck out. Lays body flat.

Going on over 8 years, thousands of miles and countless trips out of state for shows. Not one issue.

It's still piss-poor engineering.

Worst of all is that brake hose stressing the metal brake tubing. A disaster in metal-fatigue waiting to happen. Have you ever seen an OEM brake hose that didn't connect to the metal brake tubing without going through a bracket that stabilizes the metal tubing? Is there maybe something you could learn from that?

Horse-shiit like this should be illegal
--and not having a park brake is.

I have NO idea what you mean by saying you don't need a park brake because "I lay my truck out. Lays body flat." Does that make sense to anyone else?
