In my 1998 k 1500, with no cats, any suggestions on the quietest mufflers, it does have duals. Any results in the Pypes turbo pro. Currently reviewing those, but any other suggestions. Thanks

Stock is definitely quieter than the Walker bus muffler, but the bus muffler is nowhere near loud like a performance muffler.

Does the bus muffler flow better?

I assume it does simply because it has a 4" exit and the idle is a lot more noticeable than the stock muffler I just got hooked up on the flipper dually. That's all I have to compare to. It picked up from the anemic Walker stock replacement that was on my supercharged dually. At the time I put the bus muffler on, the truck was NA. It held OD noticeably better.

I had the Walker Quiet-Flow SS muffler on my 97 at one time, it is very similar in sound to the stock exhaust, RockAuto has it listed for under $90.

x2 on putting cats back on it, that'll definitely make it more quiet.
