Found this next to my computer while changing the chip for my 454 from my 350. Looks like it would just unplug. Should I leave it alone or take it out. I looked on the net and everything I found about them said they were a device in the tank that you replace with a normal fuel line.

What you're holding is a "hot fuel module" which runs the pump 20 seconds to prime instead of the usual 2~3 seconds. I've never owned a truck with the hot fuel module so I can't tell you how it will behave if you unplug it, though I *suspect* you'll just have normal fuel system behavior, a short prime instead of an extended one.

A pulsator is something totally different; a device which on our trucks, does indeed go inside the tank between the pump and sender on some models:
