That's a good plan. Your pump may be bypassing internally.

Make sure your control cable is fully retracting the valve on the valve body by manually pulling it back under the hood. I have a speedcast setup and they are pretty reliable old school vs all kinds of high tech crap they want to sell you today. I do 16 difficult driveways and three private roads and have less problems than when I ran meyers electric over hydraulic plows.

That was the problem! The cable was loose. Not pulling out far enough. A quick and easy fix for once.

I have the same setup on my 99 burb I love it give me cables and mechanical mechanisms any day over electronics. Do you happen to know what size the v belt is for the hydraulic pump?
