I picked up a 14 bolt sf from a 92 and a front diff from a 98 both with already installed yukon 4.56's.

The question on the front diff is this piece is different on the 98 the connector thing...

Awesome that you got em man. I am pretty sure that actuator can be wired in to your existing wires but not 100% sure.

Good find on the axles.
The newer front axle would use an electric actuator whereas your 94 is still a thermal one. You can just use your old actuator in the 98 diff.

ok so that plastic piece should just turn off with a big wrench and my metal piece should screw in.

also the guy stored the rear axle with motor oil in it is that a problem? flush it out??

and how should i store it for maybe a week or so? its gunna be out of the elements but not climate controlled. guessing it wont rust since the gears still have oil residue on them?

its hard to turn the gears is that normal or from sitting? it sat 7 months

its been sitting 7 months with motor oil in it?:/ it might be sludged up a bit.

think its just a little stiff, gears only have 2k on them. looks pretty clean inside to me, ill take some pics of the internals tommorrow for yall and see what you think.

alright so one bolt will not go in all the way because the threads are stripped (goes in about 3/4 of the way and then turns in place). Its the beginning threads because the bolt just slides in easily. :banghead: Its the one i've circled here, so what are my options? i mean i dont think it will cause the diff to leak because it is an upper bolt? should i get one of those heli coil kits?
