Got a few stupid questions for you guys.
Planning on repainting my truck soon & be going from brownish color to pewter gray.
I read a few pages on the materials and just want to clarify if I got it right in my head.
I know I will have a few bare metal spots after the body work, I follow that up with self etching primer correct?
After I done with that I shoot some slick sand and work any other imperfections I have.
Now for the main question can I shoot my base coat over the slick sand or urethane sealer is a must have since I am changing the colors?
Thanks a lot.

use etching primer if the bare metal spot is bigger than a quarter. how many coats of paint is on the truck already if 2 or more it will have to be sanded down. and u should prime all of bodywork. for any imperfections i would recomend just prime it and block it down
