Alright everyone, post your mods that you have done with the overhead console in the 98 ish year models.

No one has made mods to the overhead console?

Only mod I've done to mine is make the map lights turn on with the dome lights. Two diodes and a wire to the rear dome light... Oh and of course the trip computer module and HomeLink module... But that's factory stuff if you look in the right vehicles lol.

I replaced the sunglasses compartment lid with a clear lens from a S10 Blazer. There’s a lengthy post on here with all kinds of info where I posted pics.

Update with Homelink unit installed in place of the garage door opener door and dome light lens in place of the sunglasses storage door. These didn’t fit perfectly in this configuration so I applied some hot glue from the inside after removing the console from the truck. I tapped into the...
