Is it bad when my oil pressure is almost at 80 when cold start . 60 when driving . When stopped goes to 40. On 99 454

mins 60 cold 45 ish driving and 20 warm idle 98 305 so id say its normal

95 with a 305 bout 70 cold 60 driving 30 at warm idle for me so sounds good!

That's normal. I drove my dad's 98 yesterday and that's almost exactly what his was doing.

Just don't make the mistake I did and let someone convince you that high oil pressure is better than low oil pressure.

Just follow the age old rule of 10 psi per 1000 rpm an you'll be fine.

When i got the truck it wasnt that high. Would go up to maybe 60 at start never higher. I put some marvel mystery oil in it a few days ago due to it felt like the engine was binding
. Could it be due to that. Changeing the oil tomorrow. Just made my heart race when gauge was all the way over. I thought something was about to blow

Yes if you overfilled by adding the MMO without draining a quart. I'd change the oil ASAP. MMO is meant to be a replacement for a quart, not an additive.
