Oil Pressure seems off.

So on my truck my oil guage has been off for a little while now. When I originally bought it the guage would sit around 45-50 on highway and go down if idling to 25ish.

Now on cold start up it almost goes all the way to 80 so maybe 75ish and stays there for quite a while and after some time it starts to lower a bit but when on highway it sits around 65-75. Does this sound like a sending unit thats acting up or is it possible that I actually have a problem somewhere in the engine?

What year truck and engine? Does the gauge bounce around? My 90 exhibited the same symptoms that you are having except the gauge bounced around too. I have a 90 Sierra with 5.7L. It has those old style moon gauges.
