Odometer not working

So my odometer is stuck and I was wondering if anyone could help. It seem to have stopped when the po reset the trip on it as it's at 0. So I'm wondering, is something out of place causing it not to work or if a stepper motor is bad? Truck is 1993 c1500 with the tach cluster

The trip could have been zeroed at any point after it quit working. So I wouldn't hang my hat on that being the cause.

It's stuck at 124,398, that just seems low for a motor to go out

There is a delicate strip of wires that can break, they are attached to the odometer motor. The other possibilities are slim if the speedo is working.
