yeah, I'm not in a hurry, I've got it posted on a couple other forums, but I'll let you know if anyone else picks it up.

I just picked up a pro D3s body which uses a different sensor, so the DX line of lenses don't work as well with them. this lens has worked really well on my D90, and it'll work great on virtually every nikon DSLR, but if you have one of the few FX sensor bodies like the D3/D3s/D3x/D700 then it'd be better to get a non-DX lens.

All I've got is a D40. Nothing special, but I've got the stock lens on it and I want something that's kind of a "catch all" lens.

yeah, it'll work great on the D40. I can post up a variety of images that I took with the lens if you want to see how it performs.
