Welcome to the forum. I have 240,000 + miles on my 97. I drive it every day. I have seen these trucks with 350,000 even over 400,000 miles. Just do you PMs and take care of it, and it should last well over the 300,000 mile mark.

Thx, nice truck. Nice SS stripes, but no flames? Mine's a beater, but it's been good to me.

Thanks. I had mine painted, with the strips in 2013. I have tuned and tweeked it. Its about 325 HP. Its my daily driver. I have a lot of pic of it in my photos. Just click on my avatar, then my albums page, then my 97 if your intrested. I joined this forum looking for ideas of things I could do to my truck. There is a lot of good info here, and several members who know these old trucks very well.

Nothing bad about a work truck, although the higher end trim parts are easily available if you want the nicer stuff. I have a garage full that I am slowly bolting on. All knowledge about these trucks is here. Have fun and welcome!
