All the whites do that for some reason.... the white flakes off to the primer. The blacks clear coat fails. No clue why.

All of our vans at work are gm 2500 series ranging from 2005-2016. Only ones not pealing are the 2 newest ones, a 2015 and 2016

That makes sense, took them 20 years to keep gaskets from leaking, it's only fair to think it took them 20 years to fix a paint issue

I've already got the paint, clear, primer, and sealer to repaint this truck. Going back white. Got some body work to do in the rear first. Both rear bed corners will be replaced.

If you have a clean title it's a moot point really, and I'd prefer yours to an actual CCSB

Title status is clean. That's why I never thought anything of it. I was just looking for a 3/4 or 1 ton to do some towing with
