Motor mount removal

How does one go about removing the motor mounts in a 98 Chevy c1500 2wd?

I had to drill a 2" hole in the frame behind the lower control arm to get at the rear bolts in the motor mount. Did that with a hole saw. Welded the removed piece of frame back in after.
A major PITA!
