lsx gas mileage

I was curious about the gas mileage you guys are getting with your lsx obs 2 wheel drives.If you would post up your engine (5.3,5.7,0r 6.0) ,engine mods(heads,cam,act) and how many miles per gallon your pulling out of these engines. After the initial playing of course!lol

Not a 400, but last year I drove a '00 Yukon XL 4wd with a 5.3L to kings island and back, few hundred mile trip, and got 19 mpg. That was with the AC on and 6 people inside.

I'm not concerned with fuel Milage on my build, but, my 400 got 11-13 mpg w ****** cammed 305, so I don't expect anything but improvement, with double the power, reliability, and abundance of available replacement and aftermarket parts. Not to mention tuning capabilities, and the fact both my 2wd nbs crew 5.3s averaged 19-21

Our 02 burb loaded down with tool's and 8 people get's 16-17 with a stock 5.3.

Now Im wondering if it would be much mileage difference between the 5.3 and the 6.0?My buddy has a 6.0 he just pulled because it developed a knock,I could pick it up for about 50 to 100$.But I would have to rebuild and chase down all the assories

Another not obs figure but it should be close.

I had an 07 classic ecsb 2wd with a 4.8 and it averaged about 19 as well. That was mostly country 2 lane road driving though, I try to stay off the interstate unless im on a trip or in a hurry.
