Ls swapping a 95 k1500

I have bought a 2001 6.0 with a nv4500 to swap in my 95 k1500 my question is will the transfer case from the 01 work or do I need to find one from 88 to 95 nv4500?

They do make adapters for transfer cases for nearly all applications similar to a clocking ring. as for the tech side of it Im unsure. I know when I went backwards from a NP246 to a NP241 I had to rip out the TCCM and jump a few wires and put two others on switches so the transmission knew how to communicate with it. you might run into a similar issue unless they have a pigtail cross over for it.

I'd keep the 01 drivetrain all together. At worst you'll have to get a controller for the t case if it's electronic.
