On my 1996 chevy k1500 I have had a oil leak as long as I have owned the truck. It only leaks about half a quart in 2000 miles so I haven't worried about it to much. However it still bothers me so I looked into it a little more and discovered that it seems to be leaking either from the oil filter adapter or the oil cooler lines or both. I was wondering how hard they are to replace and if there was anything to watch out for? I was looking for some parts for it but I am having a hard time time finding many parts other than dorman or napa brand.
Any part recommendations?
Would it be beneficial for me to add a external oil cooler?
I would like to fix it on the next oil change that I do if it's not a huge deal.
Thanks guys
