Keyless Entry Remote?

are the aftermarket ones hard to hook up? do i have to take it some where to get done?,,,

I programmed mine in less than 15 seconds. Jumped pins 4 & 8, turned key forward, held lock/unlock buttons simultaneously, 5 seconds later the truck cycled the locks. Voila.

great info. now i can buy another remote for mine. i pretty much have to be right next to the truck for it to unlock though.

i checked my truck did not come with keyless,,, as i am going down threw the rpo codes,, i found out some cool things about my trucks,,, ill post in a different thread tho,,

Is this pretty much everything needed if i have power locks already? I'll have to check my RPO codes first to see if it came with one originally.

If it came with remote entry originally then getting a replacement remote will be much, much easier than wiring in another system.
