Just a bit of a 5 AM curiosity question

Local wrecking yard had a new arrival of a 1995 G30 van. Was going to snag the 4L80E out of it. Only problem is GM built it with a 4L60E. What a let down to discover on a 1/2 off day! I thought I was going to get a $100 4L80E.

Sure seems like they make an exception whenever possible. I was shocked to see a 4l60e behind my 6.2!
