You would be wise to remove the unshielded worm-gear disasters supplied with the PS filters, in favor of much-higher-quality "Fuel Injection" hose clamps.
Even shielded worm-gear clamps would create less hose damage over time.
"Ordinary" fuel hose--or even higher-pressure-rated "Fuel Injection" hose is not suitable for PS or Trans Cooler use. There may be problems with chemical or pressure compatibility--PS fluid or ATF could degrade the rubber, and the trans cooler system operates at higher pressure--but the real problem is temperature. PS or ATF is really hot compared to gasoline.
For the record, ATF is SURPRISINGLY flammible, and I expect PS fluid is, too. You DO NOT want a ruptured hose spraying on the exhaust manifold.
