When I put my coil springs in, I chained mine in place and jacked my lower A arm up. Then when it started going crooked, I ran a come along from the other side and popped them in place. A whole lot easier than those spring compressors from Auto Zone. I felt like I was handling an IED with it.

IED's are MUCH less dangerous (all in jest for anyone who has been around a REAL IED) than a spring in a cheap spring compressor. If you go in looking for it to explode it just might not but you will be ready just in case.
