I've searched, but can't find another post about my issue.
My HVAC blows cold with AC, Hot with heat, Defrost position works as does dash vents and floor......
I can vary the temperature between cold, hot and anywhere in between......

BUT...

I can only select ONE position for the air to come out of.
The airflow is binary.
If I press the button up once, the lights cycle all the way to the top (left button for dash vents or right button for defrost).
If I press the button down once the lights cycle all the way to the bottom ... you get the idea.

I can't select a mid point for air to be split part way. Does this make any sense?

Any ideas?
Thanks for any input.

Welcome,

Sounds like a simple misunderstanding of the controls, which happens sometimes.. you tap the directional button once to start it moving, then tap the same direction again to stop it when it's at the position you want.

You're not the first person those controls have fooled. :D I think we've all spent some time looking at the moving arrows and scratching our head.

So is it possible to make the heat come out on the windshield and floor at the same time? The HVAC controls are not great on these trucks!
