Which way faces outward of the hub for the wheel bearing seal 97 1500 2wd

You see how " B " , the " U " shape of the metal stamping support is going to be facing you. The " flat wide" face you would use the seal installation tool on.
Good tip: with the ease of smartphones, a photo before ripping out the seal, capturing the installation and the seal number if not unreadable. It's almost guaranteed when pull it out , it will twist or break or bend right on the numbers.
Many times, were " oh crap, what was that number, I wrote it down somewhere" . Now a photo is worth 10,000 " oh crap" ....
