How to find Overhead console holes in an Ext cab pickup

Not sure if we have a thread on this somewhere else but if not maybe a sticky:shrug:

I took these pics for a member on here and decided to write a short how to.

If you take a tape measure and measure 8" from the dome light you can find both rear holes really easy.

The front one is directly above the mount for the rearview mirror ~2"

If you want to double check before you start cutting up your headliner take a pin ~2" long and start poking around and you will find the rear OHC holes (pin will sit flush with headliner)


Hit the roof

Nice, I thought about doing this same thing while mine was out for the dic but it was getting dark on me as I put everything back together....

Nice! This will make installing an overhead console a lot easier!

I figured it should help out alot instead of guessing and screwing up or cutting too far the wrong way

idk if im blind or what but when i installed my ohc i didnt see those orange and black wires... i need to wire the two lights in the ohc lol

This should be a sticky...I just stabbed my headliner a few times after approximating their position with the console itself ha. But I knew I was planning on doing my headliner.
