I have a 98 silverado and I have replaced everything in the steering but the box itself and I still have a play in the steering especially when going into turns its firm then all of a sudden it breaks loose and the steering has alot of play but it doesn't do it in every turn just every now and then. I have read alot about the steering postion sensor or evo sensor being the main problem I was wandering if anyone has done this before and has detailed instructions on how to replace it.

Thanks,
Justin

The sensor is located on the steering shaft (under dash). If you lay on your back and follow the shaft (from behind the steering wheel) you'll see I round plastic piece.
The common thing is to just unplug it.
