Whats the deal with boxing a frame? My uncle told me I should do it to mine but I dont know much about it?

makes it WAY stronger

the curves of the frame are already boxed, you just finish it up- and you can use heavier gauge steel. just make sure any rust on the inside is DESTROYED before you seal it in there

So its alright on a DD? You just do it towards the rear and front?

Yeah, I see no downsides on a DD, it's just a lot of work

I'm not sure on all the specifics, but I'm pretty sure you just box as much of it as you want to

agreed and if anything it'll make it safe in case of a crash as a DD

So its basically just buying some metal and welding it on there?

bingo

problem is, metal isn't very cheap

and like I said, you have to be POSITIVE the rust is killed or you might make problems- you'll have it growing in there and you might not know it until you have a major problem on your hands
