How do I positively and easily Identify my engine size and vehicle trim?

Thanks MOBS, well it turns out that I am getting different part numbers for HD 2wd rear brake wheel cylinders. The 1 1/8 is supposed to be non heavy duty and the 1 3/16 is supposed to be HD.

If anyone is bored, please check out the below Autozone link. In this case, looks like the HD cylinders are cheaper. Guess I can always size it out at the auto part store, but always like to weigh my options online before going anywhere.

Hmmmm, measure the bolt pattern, the brake line's nut size/thread, and the width of the cylinder....if they all match, it possibly could be used in place of non-HD, but only way to find out is to check ofcourse....luckily they'll let you return if it doesn't fit.

http://www.compnine.com/vid.php use the vin decoder, type in your vin and it will tell you everything about your truck when it came out of the factory, engine,transmition, gear ratio's everything thats in your truck will be listed
