Could be a D60, but if you are confident it is 9.75" ring gear, might be from the rear of a newer F150 or expedition with a 5.4 or larger motors. I think they used a upgraded version of the 8.8 with a 9.75" ring gear.

8.8 has 10 bolts on the ring gear not 12, since you measured 9.5 and the ring is always bigger than the carrier, it really looks like you have a d60 carrier

I didn't say it was an 8.8, I said it was a ford 9.75, which was an upgrade to the 8.8. This axle also uses 12 bolts to hold the ring gear to the carrier and uses a 9.75" ring gear, hence why I said if the OP was confident it was a 9.75" ring gear it could be a carrier for a ford axle.
