Help me out please

Hey guys I have a 1990 Chevrolet 1500 5.7 liter single cab and recently where did I Drive and I start coming to a stop the right side of my truck Starts to smoke badly and it is only when I come to a stop its also when I am driving I don't know what to do and I don't know what the problem is it doesn't seem to affect my stopping distance at all so I could take you to drive it but it still smokes just was wondering if you guys knew how to fix it thanks and let me know

You're going to need to find out exactly where the smoke is coming from. Get it to do it and pull over and find it.

It could be a lot of things. Smell will belp you figure this out. Does it smell like burning oil, or burning wires? I supect, it is an oil leak on the valve cover on the side that is smoking, driping oil onto the exhaust manifold, but that is only an educated guess. If it is not electrical, clean your engine, then go run the truck and look for wet oil on the engine when you get back.
