yeah, they're not cheap for a well designed adapter. A simple flat plate won't do much for proper air flow

Yes thoose will work...sorta, hell I could probaly fab one like that up myself.

BUT... I'm really set on the GM one because of the water jacket.

GM seem to have spent a lot of effort heating them TBI manifolds. My experience is they normally only do things like that if they feel it's absolutely necessary.
