Gas milage ?

So I have only had my 95 c2500 a few weeks and I check my mpg and its about 10 mpg the truck has 133k new plugs distributor cap and coil, filters and fuel filter . I have no clue why my mpg is so low . Any ideas or is that what it should be

I have a new mexican gm tbi 350 in my 1994 k1500 z71 rcsb 4l60e 3.73 gears stock manifolds and exhaust and it gets 12 combined city hwy has 5000 miles on it.I'd like to improve that too,only mod ive done is a airaid tbi to intake spacer which didnt seem to do anything.Would love to get 14 somehow

Tuning and adding "Hyway Lean Cruise" which, leans out your AFR and increases SA (while cruising over a certain MPH) will help. The Lean Cruise alone will add 10 - 15% MPG by itself.

454? 350? Or Briggs and Stratton for a motor?........

Have you checked the pattern of your injectors by beaming a timing light at the spray pattern .If they arent a nice spray pattern which seems common that will hurt mileage.Also a vacuum gauge is your friend and will tell condition of cat converter and many other things .Hi Jack

truck is a 350 with 4l80e and 410 gears out back , truck also has no cats and is driven 95 % hwy about 30 miles to work and 30 miles home . I do plan on rebuilding the tbi and doing the port mod .

Most I get from my 99 Burb 5.7 vortec 2wd is 15 and that's on the highway with a tailwind. Around Houston area it's 11 to 13, depending on how much freeway vs. regular streets. Don't like it but it is what it is. 6000 pounds of not super aerodynamic truck isn't going to do but so much. FWIW my dad's 06 Yukon XL Denali with the 6.0 /4L80E wasn't any better. 6.0s will pass everything except the gas station
