So. Been chasing gremlins with no luck. Found a few forums addressing the issue but have been unsuccessful.
Problem started the other day. Had to throw on my hazards & they didn’t seem to be working right. Then I noticed my brake lights were out. No. 1 stop/haz fuse was blown. Replaced, and blew it the first time I touched the brake pedal. All other lights work (hi/lo/running/turns/reverse). Tried throwing in a 30A fuse in there to get home. Blew right away.
So far I’ve replaced my brake light switch, disconnected my 4 pole trailer light switch that had some frayed wires, and tried a test with both tail lights disconnected. Same story everytime. Fuse blows immediately when the brake is pressed.
I’ve tried to follow back the cables as much as I can but don’t see anything noticeably frayed where it could be shorting out.
Anyone had this issue? Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Jared
