While getting some numbers concerning alternator output after a E-fan install in my 99 Yukon I noticed my a/c clutch was not recycling, but my fans were, on/off every 30 seconds.
Question is do the fans recycle on/off with the A/C clutch, or do they run constantly?
I assumed they ran constantly, to this end I installed a switch that allows me to turn the fans off at hours long internet speeds.
I'm convinced the trigger from #9 pin in the black box is functioning correctly.
With the A/C on it seems the clutch signal is not cycling the clutch but cycling the fans.
When I turn on the A/C with the control panel push-on button the fans will not engage until the control panel fan is turned to 'low' or higher.
I thought this was strange, but I suppose its normal?
I have no over heating problem.
my A/C takes awhile to get to 'cold' and when it does all is good
I just find it strange that my fans cycle on/off, but my A/C clutch does not.
The clutch is 'free'.
@ idle w/air on the clutch does not disengage.
with engine off the clutch is disengaged and can can be rotated by hand.
Any suggestions?
Ron
