99 k2500 03 LM7 swap, saw a video on ytube, showed a GMT400 with the LM7 swap, the guy was using a ford (gag,retch,@#$%) clutch assembly, claimed it was the same thread and direction, a LM7 fan fit right on it, and it had a longer shaft that made shroud fitting easier. Anybody know which clutch assembly this is?

I have used a 2002-2007 Dodge Ram 4.7L clutch on a 6.0L in a 1987 G20. The barrel nut is 2x the length of the GM clutch and positioned the Ford 5.4L 3V fan correctly in the SBC shroud with the 6.0L in stock rear location mounting. That is I used mounts that put the bellhousing face of the 6.0L in the stock SBC location. 6.0L was bolted to the TH400 in its stock mounting location. That was the old setup, 6.0L got pulled out and sold because I hated that gutless thing. Now have a Ford 5.4L 3v fan on a Vortec 350 clutch attached to a slightly built up L31. Fits the smaller diameter older GM shroud perfectly and bolted right on after enlarging the bolt holes from 8mm to 10mm.

Ford 5.4L 3V fan in an older GM shroud. IIRC the opening on the shroud is 20" and the fan is just shy of or just over 19". It moves a ton of air and is extremely quiet.
