Non A/C truck, factory "bypass" pully, and she runs great. But with:
headlights,
heater fan,
amber warning lights,
tunes,
wipers,
snow plow,
and low RPM...

clearing out 14" of fluffy white goodness from 3 driveways seems to draw down the (new last September) dual batteries. So I'm pondering a dual alternator setup. Diesels use them with success...

1995 Chevy 5.7, looks like the (pass side) A/C bracket is just there to hold the giant idler pully and the big loop in the serp belt.
So, how different is the Vortec? Well, the alternator and the A/C are swapped side to side, so would a passenger side Vortec alternator bracket bolt onto TBI heads, and line up with the 6 rib serp belt?
