Dodge NV4500 in a Chevy

So on my local marketplace there's a guy selling a 4x4 Dodge with an nv4500. My 1992 Yukon has an HM290, could I swap the bell housings and input shafts to put the nv4500 in my Chevy and the hm290 in the dodge? End goal would be the sell the dodge for the same price I buy it for to essentially get a free NV4500 swap.

Edit, my bad I'm an idiot, I assumed it was like an nv3500.

have you even looked under your yukon to see that the bellhousing is not removable on the hm290? did you even try and google this or searching for this information on this forum?

been a long time since i messed with a NV3500, but I'm fairly certain they are also a 1 piece case...

If your going to edit your post, edit it to correct info, not just add confusing info. Are we talking about a NV3500 or 4500? Big differences between the two!!

NV3500 - No you cant
NV4500 - Yes you can

Yeah, pretty sure what OP has is the light duty 5 speed, and is confused about the physical characteristics. OP -whether it's the HM290, NV3500, 5LM60, whatever name they call the particular version of it, it's a 1 piece case, non-removable bellhousing.
