Do I have my EGR solenoid installed correctly?

Put a new EGR valve on my truck this weekend, and had to replace the broken vacuum line that went in between the EGR valve itself and the EGR solenoid. There were two vacuum line ports on the EGR valve side of the solenoid, I hooked up to the top one as I couldn't remember which port to use. Is this correct? Here is a photo of how I have it setup:

No. The hose goes on the port with the barb on it. The smooth port stays open; that's the vent.
