for painting an entire truck, i would think thinner is better so the body lines all line up right and dont get filled in. But its a personal preference thing at that point that really cant be argued.

As long as you put some UV protective stuff in the bedliner before you roll it the black should stay good for along time. It is a bit harder to clean, but as long as you get all the dirt and grime off, it looks good.
