Seen at the Heights store today; actually there was another brighter red ECSB that sounded very close to Rawhide's exhaust rumble, that I didn't get a pic of. I had to look around,"she's not moving our truck?"....

So, I know a while back there was a discussion about the 1999 Tahoe Z71 prototype and the wheels it was pictured wearing. I figured they were some long since out of production wheels, or maybe they were a one off prototype that was never sold. I can say definitively as of today, they did exist, and they were sold. Unfortunately there were no hub caps to try and get a brand from, but I have officially seen them in the wild. On an '85 F-250 extended cab short bed with a 6.9L IDI. Also, they are not an aluminum wheel like we all thought. It's a chrome plated steel wheel.

Those were by American Racing. I believe the style was called "Silverado". They were chrome steel wheels. I had a set on my first truck which was a 1981 Dodge D100. Not sure when they stopped making them but I bought them in 1998.
