Getting ready to pull my 5.7 vortec engine only, leaving the trans in the 97 Suburban.
I have a head gasket leak into cylinder #4 so i figured might as well have the heads redone, new lifters, and a new timing set done at 220k miles.
I have the harbor freight 2 ton hoist and a adjustable engine leveler.
Any tips on pulling it out? I'm leaving the front end together. I already pulled the radiator and got the power steering out of the way. Just the torque converter bolts and engine mounts are holding it in.
Also does anyone know what size and length bolts I need to attach the motor to the engine stand?
