So its about that time to change the transmission fluid in my truck, but I don't know what it takes or where to drain it or where to fill it. Also, does it also have a filter? And how hard would it be to change the differential fluid while im at it?
Thank you:pepper:

Well for a standard 4L60E, you take the pan off to change the fluid. And there is a filter inside.

Found this with a quick search - http://www.gm-trucks.com/resources/...the-fluid-and-filter-on-a-4l60e-transmission/

I would recommend installing a pan with a drain plug while you are at it. Or installing a plug in your factory pan.

As for the diff fluid, you pull off the diff cover to do that. Very similar, no filter. Very smelly!
