changing gears

hey everyone, i have an 88 4x4 and it has 3.73 gears, i am wondering how i can put 4.56 gears in my truck. just need info on how to do it and what costs might be.

the ring and pinion will be 150 the master kit with new bearings will be about the same and the labor will be about 300 bucks and thats all at the cheapest..

check out ronsmachiningservice and talk to a local guy that you really trust

im lucky cause my neighbor owns a shop and hes probably my best bet

a 4x4 shop in town quoted me 650 just in labor..

and i had to buy the 14 bolt sf from a junk yard, brakes and the ring and pinion and install kit and the locker.. my buddys doing it for about half that in labor

all said and done i got a 1000 dollar axle under the ass, not to mention the front

im just wondering if the 4.88 i went with is too low..
