I need to do brakes on the ninja burb so I am gonna be doing a bit of upgrading.

2500 calipers, pads, rotors, and stainless hoses. I have a few questions before I buy.

1. I am seeing stainless hoses going from $16.99 to $69.99, where in that range should I spend and what brands are better?

2. Best places to buy from?

3. Ceramic vs regular pads?

4. Rotors - Drilled? Slotted? Both? or just regular rotors?

It's a stock suburban, I don't want to put a race saddle on a plow horse. On the other end I don't want cheap crap.

Thanks
Ryan

I just got these SS braided lines, and love them: http://www.4wheelparts.com/Brakes-S...c=65&t_s=22&t_pt=4159&t_pl=3834&t_pn=SKYFBL88

And got these slotted rotors, and love them as well: http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/s...l?loc=Front&tlc=Brakes,+Suspension+&+Steering

And paired them with matching pads and love them too: http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/s...teering&intcmpid=Product+Listings+Best+Seller

I would suggest staying away from anything drilled because they have a tendency to crack.

Sometimes to gotta pay to play, and when it comes to mine and others safety, I'd rather have something I know will perform when I most need it to. Maybe just get one thing at a time, make it seem like you're spending less haha

I usually go with crown performance custom lines, best warranty and built to my specs. They are pricey though

So, calipers. What brands to look at and what to avoid? What should I expect to pay?

No sense in doing any of this if the calipers are crap.

As for the calipers, any reman 2500 or 3500 will work might fine. I got mine from AutoZone for $21 w/core.

If you've got a 1500 and you're trying to go 2500 brakes, the 2500 brake caliper pistons might be different size than the 1500 so I'd look into that. If they are different then you will need the master cylinder from a 2500 aswell.

The 2500 ones must be for an 8 lug. If you get 6 lug 2500 calipers they are the same as a 1500.

To be safe just get some for a 3500.
