Holy crap I would do questionable things to get my hands on that, I wasn’t 100% sure they built them in that configuration with that drivetrain.

Get the VIN and run a report (or get @1ton-o-fun to run it) and you can see how rare those options/power trains are. I was really surprised how many CCLB in '97 were 5.7s, I figured most would be 6.5 or 7.4. But I would think diesel and manual transmission wouldn't be too common anymore. Not like 40-50 years ago when that's how most people optioned 2500/3500 trucks....
For a rare truck option, I've come across about 6 in different configurations in person; 3 being 350/5-speed, two 454s, and one 6.5L.Holy crap I would do questionable things to get my hands on that, I wasn’t 100% sure they built them in that configuration with that drivetrain.
I missed out on a C2500 ecsb (I think it was sb) last year, 350, auto, with only 78K on the clock. The seller on 5miles wanted $6500 and it was really clean, but there was no way I could get the bux.For a rare truck option, I've come across about 6 in different configurations in person; 3 being 350/5-speed, two 454s, and one 6.5L.
Yeah, if I wasn't between jobs, I would definitely try for it. That would be a fun truck.Holy crap I would do questionable things to get my hands on that, I wasn’t 100% sure they built them in that configuration with that drivetrain.
Hell yeah! Can't wait to see this one back on the road.Got some stuff knocked out! Removed the vacuum pump and wastegate, replaced with a spool stick from Leroy; I've got his boost bolt and I'm waiting for a gauge to get here so I can see what kind of boost I'll be pushing, last thing I want to do is finally get this truck on the road just to melt it down.
Pulled the alternator off and I'm going to take it to my local NAPA to test it, it's pretty dingy looking so I figured better to get it checked while the truck is still down. Also got the PMD mounted in a mocked up position where I think it'll be best protected from heat
Installed a driver's side battery tray so I don't have to worry about the battery flopping around unsecured, waiting on cables from @5vortec7 now!
You and me both; I've owned the f_cker for a year and a halfHell yeah! Can't wait to see this one back on the road.
