another sas question about wheel studs

i was wondering if on my 73 dana axle i used to sas if i could switch out the 7/16th(i think) to match the original/rear ifs studs if i could drill out the dana 44s to the newer bigger studs? anyone do this?

Bubble gum them

I don't see why drilling them out wouldn't work. Just drill them like a fraction of a millimeter small so the splines on the base of the stud have something to bite into.
