Since I just changed out my lock cylinder a couple days ago its got me thinking about a new steering wheel . Mine looks ok but the rubber has come loose from the core and is annoying. I find myself twisting it like a motorcycle throttle. I'm looking at this one . https://www.ebay.com/itm/131654095079?hash=item1ea73210e7:g:kgsAAOSwGvhT9l-q . My question is , what thickness spacer should I use ? I've heard of issues with accidentally hitting the turn signal lever with your hand because of not enough dish but don't want the wheel in my chest either. Its a 94 non air bag model. Thanks

Correct though it looks like that adapter is already included with the wheel. Wheel appears to be a Grant knockoff..

what year is your truck if it is a 95+ the adapter listed wont work. They changed the spline setup on the column in 95 when they did the interior redo. Use this one for 95+

I thought they changed the spline setup in 2003, I swapped an 88-94 steering wheel in my 98 at one time and it fit fine, just didn't have a deep enough dish to keep it away from the turn signal stalk.

Not sure about 2003 but you are correct, the 1995-up style column will accept the older steering wheel other than the dish issue. The 1995-up column has a much deeper dish to the wheel to allow for the airbag. Trying to use a wheel meant for the older column, whether it's an aftermarket wheel or OEM, will generally cause interference with the turn signal lever.
