Just bought an AC Delco pump off of rock auto and the inlet doesn't match up with the old one. Is there an adapter or do I just have the wrong pump?

That's not the inlet, that's the outlet "pressure" port.

Wild Guess: You've got a truck that has or had the electrically-variable pressure system. The pump you bought has the outlet fitting for the non-electrically-variable system.

With luck, you can remove the nut and the pressure relief valve, and install the parts from the original pump.

If not, you need a different pump.

Take the parts you remove from the new pump, screw them into the original pump. Return it as a "core" AFTER you've verified that the new pump works properly.

Makes sense now that your say it the pressure would be coming out. I'll give that a shot thanks for the advice!

My power steering pump pulley wobbles and it's chewing up the belt which needs replaced anyway but further down the list since the truck backfires and runs like **** so often it is hardly getting driven..
