A little info please....

Hi Everyone, newbie here and love the site...

I am doing a motor swap on my 91 GMC, while I have the motor out I would like to paint the frame & inter fenders & firewall. I will be pressure washing everything good but the frame has surface rust, nothing bad, just a light film of rust, what can I use to etch things before I paint things?? I will be going with a satin black paint, haven't decided what brand yet, I will probably use something that can be brushed on, not looking for show quality, just better than rust.....

just don't get any POR paint on you...it DOES NOT WASH OFF.

x3 with the two above me. POR 15 stands for Paint Over Rust formula 15. It's actually made to be laid right over top of surface rust. It attacks the surface rust and uses it to actually bond to the surface.
