Had a small issue starting my Suburban today while leaving a store. The starter seemed to engage, but the engine only turned a tiny bit and then the starter lugged and stopped. I waited a few seconds then hit the key again and it fired right up. It's done this a handful of times in the past couple years, so I'm suspecting that the starter is on it's way out. Which brings me to my question...
What is the best option out there for a replacement Vortec L31 5.7L starter? I see that a new GM replacement part is no longer available, just GM/ACDelco remans. I'm looking at the GM 10465389 (ACDelco 323-1064) but I just want to know if anyone has any other suggestions before I pull the trigger.
