92 4L60/700R4 compatibility

The 4L60 in my 92 K Blazer let go and since I don't wanna drop more than the truck is worth into a rebuild I was wondering if an 80s 700R4 out of a K5 or K10 would work

The 4l60 is the same Trans as the 700r4 just different name. neither is electrically controlled

It should...... Only thing that might be a problem is the tcc differences (if any)
